English does not fail loudly. It leaks into every other subject.
A child who reads slowly loses marks in Science and Maths problem sums before they lose them in English. A child who cannot organise a paragraph will struggle with Sejarah and Geografi essays in Form 1. Weak English rarely shows up as a bad English mark first. It shows up as a child who is “careless” everywhere.
We hear them read first
Before we teach anything new, we listen to your child read and look at how they write. That tells us whether the gap is phonics, vocabulary, grammar or structure.
Then we build it properly
Not model answers to memorise. Reading comprehension technique, grammar in context, and writing that is planned, drafted and corrected until it holds together.
And we keep them using it
English improves through use, not worksheets alone. Small classes mean every child reads aloud, speaks up and has every piece of writing marked and discussed.
National and Cambridge English, under one roof
Your child is taught the English their own school examines, then taken one step further, so reading, writing and speaking feel natural rather than tested.
Phonics and Early Reading, Age 3 to 6
Sound-by-sound reading, phonics-based reading practice, pre-writing and handwriting. For children heading to national and international schools.
Primary English, Standard 1 to 6
KSSR-aligned English with UASA and PBS preparation. Reading comprehension, grammar, vocabulary and guided writing.
Cambridge Primary and Checkpoint English
For international school children, including Checkpoint preparation. Structured English that has helped children move from Chinese-medium and national schools into international schools.
Form 1 to 3 and Cambridge Lower Secondary
Structured writing, comprehension technique and the vocabulary that quietly lifts marks in every other subject. Year 7 to 9 Checkpoint preparation for international school students.
SPM English
Form 4 and 5. Comprehension, summary, directed and continuous writing, past year papers and the exam technique that turns understanding into marks.
IGCSE English, First and Second Language
Cambridge IGCSE English taught by a specialist with a genuinely different approach: reading, writing and coursework craft.
Six to eight children. Every piece of writing read.
Small groups
Classes of six to eight. Every child reads aloud and speaks up, and the teacher hears where the gaps are. One-to-one is available for focused catch-up.
Teachers with 30+ years
The same teachers, year after year. Many of our students stay with us from phonics all the way through to IGCSE or SPM English.
Past papers, properly used
For UASA, Checkpoint, SPM and IGCSE we work through real past papers under real conditions, then go back over every lost mark.
Writing that is marked
Every essay, summary and comprehension answer is marked and discussed, not just ticked. Writing improves through correction, and correction only helps if it is explained.
Confidence, not just marks
Most children who “hate English” are simply afraid of getting it wrong in front of others. In a small, patient class that fear goes faster than parents expect.

“In 11 months, her English improved dramatically”
“My daughter joined the English class in Grade 3 at a Chinese school, before moving to an international school. In just 11 months, my daughter’s English improved dramatically, making her transition incredibly smooth and confident. Beyond teaching English, she was supported emotionally, building her confidence and helping her feel secure in her learning. Strongly recommended!”
“My daughter started tuition just a few months ago at Epic Smart. Within a couple of months I have seen good discipline in her, and she just received her final exam results with tremendous progress. I am definitely very happy. Epic is very committed. Finally, I’ve found a good centre.”
